On Wednesday, the Seventh Tecnofrío Congress, the leading event in the Refrigeration and Climate Control sector, was held in Madrid. Organized by Atecyr (Spanish Technical Association for Climate Control and Refrigeration), the event brought together renowned professionals and experts from around the world, including Global Friotex, whose participation was key in analyzing and providing solutions to the challenges facing the sector.
The congress addressed critical topics for the evolution of refrigeration and climate control, focusing particularly on sustainability, innovation, and energy efficiency. Highlighted topics included the implications of the new Regulation 2024/573 and its interaction with Royal Decree 115/2017, as well as the hybridization of refrigeration installations to maximize energy efficiency. Discussions also emphasized innovations in heat pump technologies and advancements toward a decarbonized economy.

The congress was inaugurated by Jaime Martínez Muñoz, Director General for Economic Promotion and Industry of the Community of Madrid, who underscored the importance of this event for the economic and industrial development of the sector.
